Nordic Voices is a Norwegian vocal sextet that’s been bending the rules of choral music since 1996. Formed by six graduates from the Norwegian Academy of Music, this Oslo-based ensemble blends medieval chants, Renaissance polyphony, and cutting-edge contemporary works with playful theatricality. Known for their fearless experimentation, they’ve collaborated with everyone from saxophone quartets (hello, *Six Orphic Amulets*) to avant-garde composers like Henrik Hellstenius (*Public Behaviour*), while still finding time to drop medieval-inspired Christmas albums like *Det Syng I Natt*.
Whether they’re reviving ancient amulets (*Amulets*), exploring environmental themes in *The Bee Madrigals*, or serving eerie beauty in *Still in Silence*, their crisp vocal blend and dramatic flair keep listeners hooked. With multiple Spellemannprisen (Norwegian Grammy) wins and global touring cred, Nordic Voices proves that six voices can sound like an entire universe – especially when tackling everything from Gregorian chant to whispered ASMR-like textures in *Everything Is Gonna Be Alright*.
