Berita, whose real name is Gugulethu Khumalo, is an award-winning Zimbabwean singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, in 1991, she moved to South Africa to pursue her higher education and quickly found her footing in the South African music scene. Berita's music is a blend of African pop, Afro-soul, and Afro-jazz, and she sings in both English and her native Ndebele, making her sound appealing both locally and internationally.

Since her debut, Berita has released several albums and singles that showcase her lyrical dexterity and melodious voice. Her most recent releases such as "Body," "Peace of Mind," and "Ungandibulali," alongside others like "Yours" and the tropical remix of the same, as well as collaborations such as "KUXOTAWENA," continue to cement her position as a significant figure in African music.
