Berry Weight

Berry Weight is a collaboration between Canadian producer Apewok and Swiss producer Stab. This musical project is known for its cinematic soundscapes, blending organic instrumentalism with electronic production to create a compelling auditory narrative. Emerging in the late 2000s, Berry Weight has woven a path through instrumental hip-hop, downtempo, and trip-hop, enchanting listeners with their sophisticated and evocative compositions.

While Berry Weight are not prolific in the traditional sense, the quality and depth of their work more than compensate for their select discography. Their 2010 debut album, "Music for Imaginary Movies," is an evocative collection of tracks that stands as a milestone in the duo's career, showcasing an adeptness for creating melodies that conjure vivid, emotive imagery. The subsequent releases, "Unreleased" and "Lost Tapes from 2007/2008," offer a unique insight into the group's creative process, presenting tracks that were previously withheld from the public. These works highlight Berry Weight's eclectic influences and their remarkable ability to carve out a distinct niche in the realm of ambient and instrumental music.
