**Narcotic Wasteland** is a blistering death metal act founded by Dallas Toler-Wade, former guitarist and vocalist of the legendary band Nile. After parting ways with Nile in 2014, Toler-Wade channeled his creative energy into this solo-turned-full-band project, blending traditional death metal intensity with thrashy grooves and raw lyrical themes tackling addiction, societal decay, and personal struggles. Their self-titled debut dropped in 2014, followed by *Delirium Tremens* in 2017 and a crushing self-released third album, also titled *Delirium Tremens*, in 2023. Tracks like “Barbarian” and “Victims of the Algorithm” showcase their knack for chaotic riffage and unflinching commentary, while “Sex, Lies, and DNA” leans into their more experimental, groove-driven side.
