Coma Rossi

Coma Rossi is a progressive rock band that has undergone significant changes over the years. Originally formed in Bangalore, India, in 2014, the band gained recognition for their self-titled debut album in 2018, which was well-received in the progressive rock community. However, by 2022, the band had slimmed down to a duo consisting of Gaurav Govilkar and Diane Galen. Govilkar, who now resides in Düsseldorf, Germany, handles multiple roles including guitars, keyboards, vocals, and bass. Their second album, *Void*, released in 2024, marks a shift towards a more post-rock influenced sound, drawing inspiration from bands like Cult of Luna and Pink Floyd. The album explores themes of absence and melancholy, featuring tracks like "Oblivion" and "Waves of Time."

Coma Rossi's evolution is notable not only for the change in lineup but also for the new sonic direction. *Void* blends elements of progressive rock with shoegaze and ambient dream pop, creating a unique sound. Despite the challenges posed by lineup changes and the pandemic, the band is set to tour the U.K. in support of their latest release.
