Six Days of Calm is a German post-rock band from Würzburg, founded by Marc Fischer in 2018 after the dissolution of his previous band, Watch Them Fade. Fischer's passion for post-rock was evident in Watch Them Fade's later work, and with Six Days of Calm, he fully dedicated himself to this genre. The band's music is characterized by atmospheric and melancholic soundscapes, often drawing comparisons to bands like Explosions in the Sky and Sigur Rós. Six Days of Calm is known for its instrumental compositions, which blend broad guitar textures with ambient elements and delicate piano touches.
The band has released two notable albums: *The Ocean's Lullaby* in 2020 and *My Little, Safe Place* in 2023. Both albums have received positive reviews, with *My Little, Safe Place* being praised for its powerful yet melodic soundscapes.
