Charles Dodge was an American composer and electronic music pioneer. He was born in Ames, Iowa, in 1942 and studied music at the University of Iowa and the University of California, Berkeley. Dodge was one of the first composers to use computers to create music, and he developed a number of innovative techniques for generating and manipulating sound. His music is often characterized by its use of complex rhythms, textures, and timbres. Dodge died in 2008.
