Riley Puckett was an American country music singer and songwriter who was active in the 1920s and 1930s. He was known for his distinctive high-pitched voice and his traditional country music style. Puckett was born in Georgia in 1894 and began his career as a street singer. He later moved to Atlanta, where he recorded his first songs in 1924. Puckett's music was popular with rural audiences, and he toured extensively throughout the South. He also appeared in several films, including "The Singing Fool" (1928) and "Grand Ole Opry" (1936). Puckett died in 1946 at the age of 52.
