Chris Cruse

Chris Cruse is a Los Angeles-based electronic and house music artist known for his dynamic and creative sound that blends infectious grooves with deep respect for dance music’s queer roots. As the founder and resident DJ of the queer Spotlight party in LA, Cruse has carved out a unique space that celebrates and reclaims the history of house, techno, and disco, while his own performances are recognized for their energy and distinctiveness. His music resonates both in dark warehouse settings and sunlit festivals, with notable appearances including the iconic Glastonbury Festival, Berlin's Berghain/Panorama Bar, and San Francisco’s Mezzanine.

In addition to his DJing, Chris Cruse runs Spotlight Records, a label dedicated to unearthing overlooked queer dance music, both past and present. His releases such as "It's Giving Theme / Still Giving," "For You EP," and "For You" showcase his signature style and passion for the genre.
