Marcy Rosen
**Marcy Rosen** is a celebrated American cellist known for her rich musicality and dynamic collaborations. A founding member of the Mendelssohn String Quartet, she's built a reputation as both a fearless soloist and a passionate chamber musician, appearing with stars like pianists Joyce Yang and Jon Nakamatsu. Rosen thrives on digging into meaty Romantic and late-Romantic repertoire, as seen in her recent recordings of Strauss, Grieg, and Mendelssohn cello sonatas. When she's not touring or recording, she shares her expertise as a professor at the Aaron Copland School of Music (CUNY) and through masterclasses worldwide. Fun fact: she’s been rocking the same Francesco Ruggieri cello from 1669 for decades – now that’s a lasting relationship!
