Karafizi, the stage name of Elena Karafizi, is a Moldovan singer-songwriter of Bulgarian descent. Born on May 19, 1994, she began her musical journey at the age of eight, studying vocals and piano at the School of Arts "Alexei Starcea" and College of Music "Stefan Neaga" in her hometown of Chisinau. Her musical career took a significant turn when she joined forces with the Romanian electronic band Golan as part of the project **Island Chain**, releasing the single **Rocket Love** in 2018. Since 2019, Karafizi has been touring with the Austrian electro-swing band Parov Stelar, performing across Europe, Armenia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Karafizi launched her solo career in 2020 with the release of her single **Acid Love**, produced by Andy Oncea. Her music style is a unique blend of alternative pop with eclectic influences, drawing from artists like Beyoncé, Sarah Vaughan, and Björk. Her recent releases include **OASIS**, **RIGHT ON TIME**, and **Focused on Myself**, showcasing her evolving artistic depth. Karafizi continues to explore new musical directions while actively creating and performing music.
