Eduardo Pérez Maseda

Eduardo Pérez Maseda was a renowned Spanish composer, sociologist, and music theorist born on August 12, 1953, in Madrid, Spain. He pursued his musical studies at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and later earned a degree in sociology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Pérez Maseda's musical works have been widely performed internationally at prestigious venues and festivals, including the Europalia '85 in Brussels, the Almeida Festival in London, and the Carnegie-Recital Hall in New York. His compositions reflect a diverse range of styles and collaborations with various musical groups.

Some of his notable works include "Bonhomet y el cisne," a chamber opera premiered in 2003, as well as "Obra Integral para Piano" and "IBERSAX," which showcase his versatility as a composer. Pérez Maseda passed away on September 23, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of innovative and globally recognized music.
