EARTHGANG

EARTHGANG, consisting of Atlanta natives Olu (aka Johnny Venus) and WowGr8 (aka Doctur Dot), is a dynamic hip-hop duo known for their eclectic sound and energetic style that combines elements of funk, soul, and southern hip hop. Their journey began in 2008 when they met in high school and ultimately decided to form a group influenced by the diversity of music and culture in Atlanta. They soon became known for their expressive lyrics and standout performances, fostering a reputation for both individuality and the creative fusion of sounds.

From their early mixtapes to their critically acclaimed debut album "Shallow Graves For Toys," EARTHGANG has continuously pushed the envelope. Their association with J. Cole's Dreamville Records marked a significant milestone in their career, leading to prominent collaborations and increased visibility. The duo has a string of successful projects, including the "Spillage Village" albums with fellow Atlanta musicians, and their own "Mirrorland," which received rave reviews for its imaginative storytelling and vibrant production. More recent releases such as "GHETTO GODS (Deluxe)" and "Blacklight" showcase their growth and undeniable skill in crafting songs that connect deeply with their listeners, solidifying their place in the contemporary music landscape. Their songs are often filled with social commentary, quirky narratives, and a distinctive southern groove that remains an homage to their roots while simultaneously breaking new ground in the hip-hop genre.
