The Big News

The Big News is a ska punk band based in Norman, Oklahoma. They have released two full-length albums, *Have You Heard* and *Welcome to the Weird Kids’ Table*. The band has had the opportunity to open for notable ska bands like Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Interrupters, Reel Big Fish, and Less Than Jake. Initially, lead singer and guitarist Jacob Niceley met bassist Logan Pierce at a venue called 89th Street Collective. In 2015, they added trombone player Daniel Lewis and drummer Jon Jackson to the lineup, followed by trumpet player Ryne Whitehead in 2016. The Big News frequently tours, often performing every weekend, reflecting their dedication to their music and fan base. Some of their notable recent releases include *PHOEBE*, *Bugs in the Kitchen*, and *Kingston Weekend*.
