N. J. Nandini

N. J. Nandini is a distinguished Carnatic vocalist from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, hailing from a deeply musical family with a rich legacy—her late grandfather Vechoor N Hariharasubramania Iyer was a revered Carnatic singer and teacher. Trained under eminent gurus like Prof. Parassala Ponnammal and Dr. M. N. Moorthy, she has gained acclaim as the youngest artist to receive an "A" grade from All India Radio Trivandrum and has won numerous awards, including the cherished Chembai Puraskaram and the M. S. Subbulakshmi fellowship.

Nandini’s career is marked by both her excellence in classical performances and her innovative contributions to music and education. She has composed for unique stage productions, devotional albums, and dance musicals, and has also become known for her engaging YouTube series that explore and celebrate Carnatic music. Beyond concerts across India and abroad, she lent her voice as a playback singer in the film "Kambhoji," bringing traditional Kathakali padams to wider audiences. Nandini’s journey reflects a lifelong dedication to music, continuously inspired by both her heritage and the evolving art form.
