Mr. Big

Mr. Big is an American rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1988. The group's original lineup comprised vocalist Eric Martin, guitarist Paul Gilbert, bassist Billy Sheehan, and drummer Pat Torpey. They are perhaps best known for their chart-topping ballad "To Be with You," which became a number one hit in 15 countries in 1992. Their music is a combination of hard rock, jazz fusion, and a dose of heavy metal, and they have garnered a reputation for their outstanding musical prowess and energetic live performances.

Over the years, Mr. Big has released numerous albums, with a career that has weathered the shifting sands of the music industry. Despite going on hiatus in the early 2000s, the band reunited in 2009 and has continued to produce new material and tour globally. Some of their most recent work includes the studio album "Defying Gravity" (2017) which showcases their enduring ability to craft hard-hitting rock tracks with intricate musicianship, and the live album "Live from Milan" (2018), capturing the raw energy and dynamic of their live shows. Tragically, drummer Pat Torpey passed away in 2018 due to complications from Parkinson’s disease, but the band has continued to honor his legacy through their performances and releases. With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Big remains an influential force in rock music with a dedicated fan base around the world.
