Ventura Profana is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1993 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, but currently based in Belo Horizonte. Profana is recognized for blending spirituality with art, music, performance, and visual arts. As a singer, writer, composer, and performer, their work often explores themes of identity, spirituality, and social commentary. Ventura identifies as a travesti and weaves elements of Baptist doctrine and neopentecostalism into their creative practice. Their artistic expressions are deeply rooted in challenging norms and fostering a sense of freedom and celebration through their performances and compositions.
