Rundek & Ekipa

**Rundek & Ekipa** is the creative project spearheaded by Darko Rundek, a legendary figure in alternative and experimental music from Croatia. Rundek first gained prominence in the 1980s as the frontman of Haustor, a groundbreaking post-punk/new wave band that left a lasting mark on the Yugoslav music scene. After Haustor disbanded, Rundek ventured into solo work, eventually forming Rundek & Ekipa as a collaborative platform for his genre-blending explorations. Their sound mixes art rock, world music, jazz, and avant-garde textures, paired with Rundek’s poetic, often philosophical lyrics in Croatian.

Known for their theatrical live performances and conceptual releases, the group has stayed creatively restless in recent years. Their 2023-2024 "Brisani Prostor" EPs (split into *EP1-Do* and *EP2-Od*) showcase their knack for atmospheric storytelling and sonic experimentation. Tracks like "Voljeti Stvarno" and "Tamni Jorgovan" continue Rundek’s tradition of merging catchy melodies with existential musings, proving the band remains a vital force in Southeastern Europe’s alternative scene.
