**Polo Ortí** is a Spanish pianist, composer, and educator known for blending jazz with innovative collaborations. A Berklee College of Music graduate, he studied at conservatories in the Canary Islands, Madrid, and Valencia while also learning from jazz legend Lyle Mays. His career includes teaching at institutions like the Canary Islands Conservatory and releases such as *Improvisaciones* (1993), *Polo* (1997), and the *Para Timple y Piano* (2003) collaboration with timplist José Antonio Ramos. His compositions have appeared on Gary Burton’s *Reunion* album alongside Pat Metheny and Peter Erskine, landing on the Billboard Jazz chart. Currently affiliated with Berklee’s Valencia campus, Ortí’s work often defies genre boundaries, merging technical mastery with creative experimentation.
