His 1996 debut solo album, *Subzero*, was largely a one-man project with Wilko performing most instruments himself, showcasing his versatile musicianship and creative drive. He continues to live and work in Bern, balancing music with writing and other creative endeavors.

Wilko’s sound is characterized by a mix of atmospheric and alternative rock elements, often crafted in collaboration with producers like Tom Etter.
