Ray Wilko

Ray Wilko, born Reto Wilk on December 20, 1968, in Bern, Switzerland, is a talented Swiss songwriter, singer, and guitarist known primarily in the alternative rock scene. Growing up with strong musical influences such as The Beatles, David Bowie, and Fleetwood Mac, Wilko started playing piano and guitar at a young age, eventually focusing on the electric guitar. Before launching his solo career, he played in local Bern bands like Morgenrot and Harry. His 1996 debut solo album, *Subzero*, was largely a one-man project with Wilko performing most instruments himself, showcasing his versatile musicianship and creative drive. He continues to live and work in Bern, balancing music with writing and other creative endeavors.
