Jim Peterik is a Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer best known as a founding member of the rock band Survivor. He co-wrote the iconic anthem "Eye of the Tiger," which became a global hit after being featured in the film Rocky III. Before Survivor, Peterik was the frontman for The Ides of March, whose 1970 hit "Vehicle" showcased his talent for combining rock and brass-driven soul.
Beyond his own bands, Peterik has written or co-written songs for a wide range of artists, including 38 Special ("Hold On Loosely"), .38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and REO Speedwagon. Over the years, he's continued to make music both as a solo artist and as part of Jim Peterik & World Stage, a collaborative project that features guest appearances by numerous rock vocalists. With a career spanning decades, Peterik remains a key figure in classic rock and songwriting circles.
