Mindless Self Indulgence, often known by the acronym MSI, is an American band that combines elements of punk rock, alternative rock, electronica, hip-hop, and industrial music to create a sound that is as unique as it is provocative. Founded in 1997 by lead vocalist and lyricist Little Jimmy Urine (James Euringer) and guitarist Steve, Righ? (Steve Montano), the group quickly carved out a niche for themselves with their frenetic energy, irreverent humor, and controversial lyrics. The band's lineup solidified with the addition of Lyn-Z (Lindsey Ann Way) on bass in 2001 and Kitty (Jennifer Dunn) on drums in 2003, making up the quartet known for their chaotic live shows and fiercely loyal fanbase.
