The Milkyway Express is a psychedelic rock band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2010, the band consists of vocalist and guitarist Chris Ryan, bassist and vocalist Patrick Kelly, and drummer and vocalist Matt Strmiska. Their music is characterized by its dreamy, ethereal soundscapes, soaring melodies, and introspective lyrics. The band has released four studio albums, including their self-titled debut in 2012 and their latest, "Malinche," in 2022. The Milkyway Express has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, sharing the stage with bands such as Tame Impala, The Black Angels, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
