New Trolls

New Trolls are one of Italy's most iconic and versatile bands, known for their eclectic style that spans genres like beat, psychedelia, progressive rock, hard rock, and melodic pop. Formed in Genoa in the mid-1960s, the band's original lineup included Vittorio De Scalzi, Nico Di Palo, Mauro Chiarugi, Giorgio D'Adamo, and Gianni Belleno. Over the years, New Trolls have undergone numerous lineup changes, but their impact on Italian rock remains significant. One of their most celebrated works is the 1971 album *Concerto Grosso per i New Trolls*, a collaboration with composer Luis Enriquez Bacalov that is still regarded as a landmark in Italian rock. Despite internal conflicts and legal disputes over the band's name, New Trolls have continued to produce music, with various iterations of the band releasing new material and performing live.

Throughout their career, New Trolls have explored a wide range of musical styles, from their early beat sound to more complex progressive rock compositions. Their live performances have been highly acclaimed, showcasing their ability to blend different musical elements into a unique sound. Despite the passing of key members, such as Vittorio De Scalzi in 2022, New Trolls' legacy continues to influence Italian music and beyond. Their recent releases and live performances have kept their music alive, appealing to both old fans and new generations of listeners.
