The Green

The Green is a roots reggae band hailing from the shores of Oahu, Hawaii, known for their soulful harmonies and classic island reggae sound infused with a dose of modern R&B. Formed in 2009 by vocalist Caleb Keolanui, guitarist/lead vocalist JP Kennedy, bassist Brad Watanabe, and drummer Zion Thompson, the group quickly established themselves in the Pacific reggae scene with their self-titled debut album in 2010. The album's fresh sound and authentic vibe earned them acclaim, including iTunes Reggae Album of the Year.

Over the years, The Green has built a reputation for their vibrant live performances, which often showcase their seamless blends of roots reggae with other genres. Their discography reflects a band that remains true to their musical roots while also pushing boundaries. Notable recent releases like "The Green: Live At Blue Note Hawaii" capture the raw energy and intimacy of their concerts, while tracks like "Never Give Up" and the "Summertime EP" showcase the band's studio creativity. Collaborations like "Young Man (Remix)" with Common Kings and "Coming Home (Remix)" with Allen Stone underscore their ability to bridge worlds, bringing their unique Hawaiian reggae vibes to wider audiences. The Green continues to be ambassadors of Aloha spirit, spreading messages of love and positivity through their music.
