Gnarls Barkley is an American musical duo formed in 2003, comprising of vocalist Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, known professionally as CeeLo Green, and producer Brian Joseph Burton, better known as Danger Mouse. Their unique sound melds soul, hip hop, and rock elements, creating a style that's both innovative and immediately recognizable. The duo first captured the public's attention with their 2006 debut album "St. Elsewhere," which featured their hit single "Crazy." The song became an instant classic, topping charts worldwide and capturing numerous awards including a Grammy for Best Urban/Alternative Performance. "Crazy" was also notable for becoming the first single to top the UK charts on downloads alone.

Following the massive success of their debut, Gnarls Barkley released "The Odd Couple" in 2008. The album continued to showcase their eclecticism and creativity, though it received a more subdued commercial response compared to its predecessor. Despite this, the album's content, especially singles like "Run (I'm a Natural Disaster)" and "Going On," retained critical acclaim for their innovation and catchy composition.
