Ronkalunga

Ronkalunga is the stage name of Ronaldo Rodríguez Hernández, a Cuban singer-songwriter born in Baracoa, Cuba, in 1992. Known for blending traditional Cuban music styles like Son, Changüí, and Bolero with Afro-Caribbean and contemporary sounds, he creates a unique and eclectic musical fusion. His lyrics often carry social commentary, humor, and poetic subtlety, reflecting a deep connection to Cuban culture and storytelling. Ronkalunga started his musical journey early, initially performing with a reggae group and later establishing his own band in 2018, which explores a mix of genres including nueva trova, guaracha, songo, afrobeat, and pop. He has released albums such as *Raros Pasos* and *Aguacero*, and in 2025, he launched the album *Bésame Mucho*. His work has earned him multiple Cuban music awards and recognition both on the island and abroad, including performances in Spain and the United States.
