Kenny Reichert is a Chicago- and Minneapolis-based jazz guitarist, composer, bandleader, and educator who grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin, where he started classical piano at age 5 and picked up guitar at 12. After studying at Berklee College of Music and earning a degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he grabbed his Master of Music in Jazz Studies from DePaul University, and he's shared stages with Midwest heavyweights like Russ Johnson, Geof Bradfield, Clark Sommers, and Devin Drobka.
He's dropped killer albums like his debut *Interpretations* (2015), *Deep Breath* (2023 on Shifting Paradigm), and *Switch* (2024 on Calligram), plus live gems such as *Live at Pro Musica*, *Eagle (Live)*, and *Streak of Blue (Live)*—and he's part of cool projects like the organ trio Righteous Rooster and the jazz-folk duo Sara and Kenny with his wife, classical guitarist Sara d’Ippolito Reichert, who've toured the US and Europe. A 2022 Luminarts Jazz Improvisation Fellow, Kenny's also scoring sync licenses for TV shows and ads worldwide while keeping the jazz scene buzzing.
