Alina Engibaryan

Alina Engibaryan is a talented jazz vocalist born on May 15, 1993, in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. She comes from a musical family, being the granddaughter of renowned Russian jazz drummer Nikolay Goncharov. Engibaryan began singing at a very young age and pursued her passion for music by studying jazz vocals in the Netherlands. She has been recognized for her skills, notably as a finalist in the Prinses Christina Jazz Concours and the Dutch Vocal Competition. In 2015, she won the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition, which was overseen by Al Jarreau.

Engibaryan has released several albums, including "Driving Down The Road" in 2016 and "We Are," which marked a significant shift towards original music. Her work is influenced by jazz legends like Stevie Wonder, Kurt Elling, and Gregory Porter. With "We Are," she collaborated with Michael League of Snarky Puppy, who produced the album. Engibaryan's music often explores themes of love, empowerment, and relationships, creating a personal and diverse mix of traditional and contemporary jazz. She continues to perform globally, both solo and as part of various musical projects.
