Devoid of Thought

**Devoid of Thought** is an Italian death metal band from the Varese area (Busto Arsizio, Lombardy) that formed in 2016, rising from the ashes of the thrash group Warstorm (active 2011-2016). They've been grinding away for nearly a decade, dropping demos, splits like *Cosmic Apoptosis* and *Astral Necrosis*, and earning props for their Timeghoul-inspired, Blood Incantation-worshipping sound with Morbid Angel vibes—all while carving out their own brutal niche.

Their debut full-length *Outer World Graves* hit in 2021 via Everlasting Spew Records, scoring worldwide acclaim and fueling three international tours, including Europe with Artificial Brain, Brutal Assault fest, and opening for Beherit in Italy. The quartet—current lineup with AC (vocals/guitar), LG (guitar), MS (bass), and DB (drums), plus past member Davide 'Decivs' Itri on drums—kept the momentum with the 2025 compilation *Necrotic Surface Discarded* on Unorthodox Emanations, packing unreleased gems like "Effigies of a Distant Planet."
