Sajjad Ali is a renowned Pakistani semi-classical, pop and rock singer, poet, actor, director and producer whose artistry straddles the connection between classical music tradition and contemporary pop sensibilities. Born on August 24, 1966 in Lahore, he emerged as one of South Asia’s most prominent music figures with a career that has spanned decades. Sajjad made his television debut in a program called "Aap Janab" by Athar Shah Khan and then played in 'Rung Barangi Duniya' by Shahzad Khalil, where he was introduced as a singer and actor. However, his musical breakthrough came with the release of his hit single 'Banwari Chakori' at the tender age of fourteen, which earned him critical acclaim and established him as a household name in Pakistan.
