The Toasters

The Toasters are an influential American ska band hailing from New York City. Formed in 1981 by British guitarist Rob "Bucket" Hingley, The Toasters are widely regarded as one of the pioneering bands of the American third wave ska movement. Their sound is a distinctive blend of British 2 Tone ska and the more traditional Jamaican beats, infusing elements of jazz, punk, and R&B. The band’s dynamic and horn-driven performances have garnered a loyal following over the decades.

Throughout their storied career, The Toasters have experienced numerous lineup changes, with Bucket being the constant driving force and visionary behind their enduring success. With a discography that has been constantly expanding since the 80s, The Toasters have toured extensively, both stateside and internationally, bringing their electrifying live shows to fans across the globe. Standout releases such as "2Tone Army" and "Don't Let The Bastards Grind You Down" showcase not only their musical prowess but also their ability to convey messages of resilience and defiance. Celebrating their 30th anniversary with a self-titled album, The Toasters have solidified their status as ska legends, continuing to skank their way into the hearts of both old fans and new audiences with every energetic performance.
