Sugar MMFK, born João Michel Diau on March 3, 1993 in Linz am Rhein, is a German rapper of Angolan descent. His parents fled Angola's civil war, eventually settling in Bonn, which became Sugar's hometown. He began his rap career in 2015 with the track "Verlorene Stadt" and gained prominence after signing with the label Bantu Nation in 2018. Sugar MMFK is known for his multilingual approach, rapping in German, French, and English, and for blending street rap with more melodic styles influenced by his Angolan roots.
Throughout his career, Sugar MMFK has released several projects, including mixtapes like "Ohrfeigenmixtape" and albums such as "Generation Beton" in 2020.
