Carlo Tenan

Carlo Tenan is a renowned Italian conductor, known for his vibrant interpretations of symphonic music, opera, and ballet. He holds diplomas in conducting, piano, oboe, composition, and electronic music. Tenan began his career as an assistant to prominent conductors such as Sir Antonio Pappano, Mstislav Rostropovich, and Lorin Maazel. He has conducted some of the world's most prestigious orchestras, including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Konzerthaus Berlin. Tenan has also achieved success in opera, with notable performances of Mozart's "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" and "Don Giovanni," and Puccini's "Tosca" and "La Bohème."

In recent years, Carlo Tenan has been appointed Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra. Under his leadership, the orchestra has enjoyed great success, including a notable gala concert with Placido Domingo. Tenan is also an active composer, with his works receiving awards in several international competitions.
