The Chœur de l’Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM Chorus) is the powerhouse vocal ensemble behind many of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra’s most epic performances. Founded in 1981 under conductor Charles Dutoit, this world-class choir has become synonymous with grand-scale works, from Berlioz’s thunderous *Requiem* to Orff’s rollicking *Carmina Burana*. With over 150 voices, they’ve collaborated with the OSM on iconic recordings (like their Grammy-nominated *Les Troyens*) and live performances, blending seamlessly with the orchestra under maestros like Kent Nagano and Rafael Payare. Whether tackling Janáček’s haunting *Glagolitic Mass* or adding depth to Bernstein’s operas, the chorus brings emotional heft and precision to everything they touch. When not filling concert halls with soaring harmonies, they’re probably busy in the studio—their recent releases prove they’re still at the top of their choral game.
