simmcat
simmcat is a musical project led by Copenhagen-based visual artist and songwriter Simona Catalani. Her music is characterized by an ethereal blend of sound and visual elements, often exploring themes of natural melancholy and memories. Following the release of her EP "Soy Milk" in 2020, which featured intimate bedroom pop and lo-fi sounds reminiscent of artists like Frankie Cosmos and Karen O, simmcat expanded her style with the full-length album "I Thought I Was Dreaming" in 2023. This album delved into a dream-pop aesthetic similar to Mazzy Star. simmcat is set to release her sophomore album, "I heard she lost you," in early 2025.
