The Idoru

The Idoru is a post-hardcore band from Budapest, Hungary, formed in 2003 by former members of the Hungarian hardcore band Newborn. The band has a rich history, having performed headlining tours across Europe and Japan, and sharing stages with notable acts like Ignite and the Misfits. After a decade-long hiatus, The Idoru made a strong comeback in 2020 with a new EP titled "Old Songs," marking their return with their original lineup. Their music blends elements of metal, hardcore, and punk rock, creating a dynamic and progressive sound. The band is set to release their latest album, "Undertow," which follows recent singles like "This Ship Will Sail" and "The King Is Naked."

The Idoru's lineup includes Tibor Szalkai on guitars, András Bödecs on vocals, Gergely Varga on guitars, Mátyás Mohácsi on bass, and Márió Szirota on drums. Their recent releases reflect a continued evolution in their melodic hardcore style, characterized by emotive narratives and energetic performances.
