Don Carlos, born Euvin Spencer in Kingston, Jamaica, is a roots reggae legend with a career spanning over five decades. A founding member of the iconic group Black Uhuru in the 1970s, he later embarked on a solo journey that solidified his status as a reggae luminary. Known for his soulful, weathered vocals and Rasta-inspired lyricism, his music blends social commentary with spiritual grounding. Recent releases like *Jupiter Deep EP* and *From Saint Lucie With Love* showcase his enduring ability to merge classic roots rhythms with modern dub and electronic textures, while tracks like *Designer Girl* prove he’s still crafting dancefloor-friendly grooves. Based partly in Saint Lucia, Don Carlos remains a touring force, collaborating with contemporary producers and keeping his signature "golden voice" relevant in today’s reggae landscape.
