JOSEPH

JOSEPH is an American indie folk band hailing from Portland, Oregon, comprised of sisters Natalie Closner Schepman and twins Allison and Meegan Closner. The trio's music is renowned for its mesmerizing harmonies, earnest songwriting, and a blend of folk sensibilities with pop and rock influences. They chose the name JOSEPH to honor their grandfather, Jo, and the band's spirit of kinship and resilience.

Since their formation, JOSEPH has gained significant acclaim for their intimate performances and soul-stirring lyrics. They made a noticeable mark with their debut album, "Native Dreamer Kin," but it was their follow-up release, "I’m Alone, No You’re Not," which truly catapulted them to a new level of recognition, entering the Billboard charts and earning them a wider fan base. In recent years, the band has continued to develop and refine their sound, as evident in their more recent releases, including "Good Luck, Kid," which showcases a more powerful and dynamic rock edge alongside their folk origins. Their discography also features thoughtfully crafted renditions of classic songs, like "California Dreamin'" and "The Christmas Song," highlighting their ability to honor music's past while infusing it with their distinct style. With each release, from the contemplative "Trio Sessions" to the textured "Nervous System," JOSEPH continues to evolve and enchant listeners with their heartfelt storytelling and enchanting vocal chemistry.
