Śląska Grupa Bluesowa

Śląska Grupa Bluesowa is a Polish musical group that specializes in blues music, founded in 2003. The group includes some of the leading figures from Poland's blues and rock scenes. Initially, the band was formed by musicians who had previously worked together in other projects, such as Jan "Kyks" Skrzek, Leszek Winder, and Michał "Gier" Giercuszkiewicz, who had collaborated since 1972 in various bands, including Apogeum and Bezdomne Psy. After the death of bassist Jerzy "Kawa" Kawalec in 2003, they invited Mirosław Rzepa to join them, marking the beginning of Śląska Grupa Bluesowa. Their music is deeply rooted in decades of musical collaboration and experience, reflecting a blend of blues from the hearts of these Śląsk (Silesian) musicians.

The group has released several albums, including "Kolory Bluesa" and more recently "Tu i Teraz". Their albums often feature guest artists and showcase a vibrant blend of blues styles that have resonated with a wide audience. Despite the passing of Jan "Kyks" Skrzek, the group continues to perform and record music, maintaining its reputation as a key part of Poland's blues scene.
