Warlock

Warlock is a German heavy metal band that rose to prominence in the 1980s, renowned for their energetic sound and charismatic frontwoman, Doro Pesch. Formed in 1982, the band quickly made a name for itself in the burgeoning metal scene with their raw, powerful style and unyielding stage presence. Pesch, often referred to as the "Queen of Metal", is known for her potent vocal abilities and has been a driving force in the band, propelling them to international fame.

The band's most successful period was throughout the 80s, during which they released a string of influential albums including their debut 'Burning The Witches' in 1984, providing a searing start to their discography. This was followed by 'Hellbound' in 1985, 'True As Steel' in 1986, which showcased the band sharpening their sound and songwriting skills, and the critically acclaimed 'Triumph and Agony' in 1987, containing hits such as "All We Are" and "Für Immer." Although Warlock experienced frequent lineup changes, they solidified their place in metal history with these early releases. The compilation album 'Rare Diamonds', which was released in 1991, offers a curated glimpse into the band's early magic, capturing the essence of Warlock's contribution to the heavy metal genre. Despite the fact that Warlock disbanded with Doro pursuing a solo career, the music they created in their short but intense initial run remains a high-water mark for metal enthusiasts.
