Nick D'Virgilio is a versatile American drummer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work in the progressive rock scene. He gained prominence as a member of Spock's Beard, contributing both drums and vocals, and even stepping up as the lead vocalist after Neal Morse's departure. Nick has also toured and recorded with legendary British band Big Big Train and has released solo material showcasing his eclectic skills as a songwriter and performer.
Beyond his core bands, D'Virgilio has left his mark as a session drummer, notably playing on Genesis’s 1997 album Calling All Stations—making him one of the few drummers to officially sit in Phil Collins’ seat. Known for his dynamic live performances and rich musicality, Nick has explored everything from classic prog rock to more modern soundscapes, often drawing influence from iconic bands like Genesis, as seen in his collaborative project Rewiring Genesis.
