Andrew Balio
Andrew Balio is a renowned orchestral trumpeter who has been the principal trumpet of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra since 2001, when he was appointed by conductor Yuri Temirkanov. Before joining the Baltimore Symphony, Balio held principal trumpet positions with the Israel Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta and the Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico. He's known for his solo performances with various orchestras around the world and has taught masterclasses internationally. Balio is also the founder of the Future Symphony Institute, a think tank focused on addressing challenges faced by orchestras and classical music.
