Sigmun

Sigmun is an avant-garde rock band hailing from Indonesia, known for their psychedelic sound and a deep-rooted influence from the classic rock of the '60s and '70s. The band consists of Haikal Azizi (guitar/vocals), Mirfak Prabowo (bass), and Pratama Kusuma Putra (drums), who together create a dynamic and complex sonic landscape. Formed in the early 2010s, Sigmun has steadily carved out a unique niche for themselves within the Indonesian music scene and beyond. Their music incorporates a blend of raw energy, intricate melodies, and philosophical lyrics, all of which have become hallmarks of their unmistakable signature sound.

Over the years, Sigmun has earned acclaim for both their recorded work and their electrifying live performances. Among their recent releases, "Mazahare" and "Minotaur" exhibit Sigmun's ongoing evolution as a band, pushing the boundaries of genre and style. The band has also revisited and revitalized earlier works, as seen in the remastered versions of "Valley of Dreams," "Bones," and their self-titled album "Sigmun," which showcase the timelessness of their music. Tracks such as "Behelit," "Crimson Eyes," and "Ozymandias" not only build upon their existing discography but also reinforce their artistic depth. With "Aerial Chateau," Sigmun once again demonstrates their skills in crafting atmospheric and immersive audio experiences, while their live prowess is palpably captured in "The Wknd Sessions Ep. 72: Sigmun." This combination of studio mastery and live dynamism continues to earn Sigmun a dedicated following and critical respect within the world of contemporary rock music.
