Idan Morim is an Israeli-born guitarist and composer who began his professional music career at the young age of 16. Raised in a creative family in Tel Aviv, he developed a passion for music early on. After studying at the Yigon Alon High School for Arts and Sciences and serving in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) army band as a guitarist and arranger, Morim pursued a BFA at the Tel Aviv Conservatory. Later, he moved to New York City to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, where he earned a Provost scholarship and refined his unique sound under the guidance of renowned jazz musicians.
Morim performs and composes under the moniker I.M, producing original music that blends jazz with indie rock and contemporary influences. His debut album, *I.M.*, released in 2019, showcases his elegant guitar work and inventive small-ensemble arrangements that explore themes of identity and presence. Now based in Brooklyn, Morim is active as a sought-after sideman and collaborator across multiple genres, while continuing to develop his distinct artistic voice.
