The Fallen Prophets

The Fallen Prophets is a Death Metal band hailing from Cape Town, South Africa. Founded by Francois van der Merwe and Pieter Pieterse, the band officially launched in 2014, though they began forming in 2013. The current lineup includes Pieter Pieterse on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Francois van der Merwe on lead guitar and backing vocals, Daniel Louw on lead guitar, Marc Olwage on bass, and Dylan Haupt on drums. Their music is deeply rooted in the aggressive and brutal elements of Death Metal, drawing inspiration from bands like Cannibal Corpse, Bloodbath, and Hypocrisy. The Fallen Prophets have experimented with various styles within the genre, evolving into a unique sound that blends brutality with atmospheric elements.
