Scred Connexion

**Scred Connexion** is a French hip-hop collective from Paris, formed in the mid-1990s. The group's name, "Scred," means "discreet" in verlan, a colloquial French slang. Initially, the collective included Fabe, Koma, Haroun, Mokless, and Morad. In 2000, they released their first official project, *Scred Selexion 99/2000*. Over the years, Scred Connexion has released several notable albums, such as *Du mal à s'confier* in 2002 and *Ni vu... ni connu...* in 2009. Their music focuses on social issues, advocating for a more just society without promoting violence. The collective is known for its independent production style, supporting an alternative approach to hip-hop.

Scred Connexion's style is deeply rooted in the French rap scene, with a commitment to artistic autonomy and a strong connection to their community roots. They have been involved in various projects and festivals, contributing to the cultural landscape of France. For instance, their song *Monnaie Monnaie* was featured in the 2017 film *Carbone*. Despite changes in the lineup over time, including the loss of Morad, the group continues to be a respected name in French hip-hop.
