Tiina Räsänen

Tiina Räsänen is a Finnish iskelmä (schlager) singer born on March 25, 1976, in Siilinjärvi, Finland. She gained national fame when she was crowned the Tangokuningatar (Tango Queen) at the Seinäjoki Tangomarkkinat festival in 1994, becoming the youngest ever to receive this honor at just 18 years old. After winning, she took a break from performing but made a successful comeback in 2000 with her hit "Sateenkaari ja tähdet." Over the years, Tiina has diversified her career by performing in summer theaters, music plays, and jazz trios on cruise ships, while also competing in bikini fitness and training as a cosmetologist.

Tiina’s music primarily features Finnish lyrics and is rooted in traditional Finnish tango and iskelmä styles. Her personal life has also been in the public eye, including her marriages to Petri Hervanto, the 1999 Tangokuningas (Tango King). She continues to perform in various venues, from private gigs to festivals, maintaining her status as a beloved figure in Finnish music.
