Jorge Calleja

Jorge Calleja is a Mexican composer, guitarist, and traditional Mexican guitar player born in Mexico City in 1971. He earned a degree in composition from the National School of Music of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His music spans a variety of genres, including hybrid, minimalist, and classical music. Calleja is known for his work with several bands, such as Gallina Negra and Calleja de las Ánimas. His compositions have been performed by notable musicians and ensembles, including the University of Central Florida Flute Choir and the Anacrusax Sax Quartet. He has also composed scores for films, including "La Revolución de Juan Escopeta" and the documentary "Tierra de Maíz."

Calleja's recent releases include a range of musical works, such as "Transmutación," "El Psiconauta," and "La Revolución de Juan Escopeta (Original Soundtrack)."
