Ctibor began his singing career in the 1920s, performing in a Prague bar called Rotunda on Wenceslas Square. His active years spanned from approximately 1925 to 1968, during which he recorded around 200 shellac records between 1936 and 1946 for labels like His Master's Voice, RCA Victor, Odeon, and others. He passed away on June 11, 1971, in Prague.
